scaffolding city shot 134
do you know why you’re doing what you’re doing?
And, why you’re doing it the way you’re doing it?
So many parts of our jobs have been handed over to us and we just start doing it. Most of the time, the job existed before you got there, so you listen, follow and fit yourself into it.
If you were to explain what you just did to someone who was outside of it all, would it make sense to them? Would the purpose it served be clear? Meaningful-useful? Efficient? Profitable?
Would they be able to pick up where you left off?
And, should they?
Or is it time to rethink the whole thing?
